Please note : this is NOT an IT role but instead requires someone with extensive experience of the development of highly complex engineered products with elements of mechanical, electronics and software. Electronics based product development experience is essential.

Location : South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire

Salary : £100,000 - £150,000 according to experience

Do you have experience in leading teams developing complex products comprising of mechanical, electronic and software components ? If so, then this role will be right up your street.

With a number of products already on the market and significant investment secured to fund the next stage of their growth, this engineering technology business is poised to fly.

You will take responsibility for both the current product range (improvements and development) as well as for the next generation of new products. Experience of electronics product development from concept to prototype to volume production is essential. You will lead a small team which comprises :-

• Mechanical Engineers - design and development, CAD, materials, design for manufacture
• Electronics Engineers - hardware design and integration
• Software Engineers - embedded firmware and control software as well as telemetry connections
• Manufacturing & Production Engineers - taking the designs and concepts and turning them into reality in a cost efficient manner

About You :

• A minimum of a degree level qualification is essential. This should be in electronics or something very similar
• Post-graduate qualifications or certifications are preferred - Masters, PhD, Chartered Engineer etc
• You MUST already have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction - we CANNOT offer any Visa assistance or sponsorship assistance
• People management and leadership experience is very much preferred
• Commercial awareness with regards to development costs, manufacturing costs, payback times etc is beneficial
• The role will require someone to be office based. In order to achieve that you will probably live in one of the following areas ; Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire
