Quantity Surveyor – Bristol – Rail – £55k + Package

Do you have a background of working on building or civil engineering projects ranging from £500k up to £20m and want to get into the Rail sector?

Our client is working on a varied Rail framework which incorporates all areas. Projects include the building of new offices or healthcare facilities as well as constructing new multi-storey carparks or extending station platforms.

They have picked up multiple new projects through long term local frameworks which has created a new position for a Quantity Surveyor to join their vibrant team working out of the Bristol office.

The role itself includes (but not limited to): -

• Working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered
• Maintaining client and supply chain relationships
• Maximising commercial returns and manage risk. 
• Preparing tenders, analysing quotations and negotiating subcontract orders
• Financial & commercial management of subcontracts to Final Account completion
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting commercial & contractual entitlement
• Manage & oversee AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

The ideal candidate will have experience of building or civil engineering projects with experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders
