Your new role
As an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux Dev/Ops), reporting to the Principal Infrastructure Engineer (Linux Team Leader), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our IT Infrastructure enterprise architecture. Your responsibilities will include implementing technical solutions through governance and change management, providing support for deployed solutions, and contributing to future developments. You will also provide third-line support for our IT Infrastructure estate and supported applications.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with outsourcing partners and multiple specialist support organisations.
  • Proficiency as a Linux Administrator and Administrator with DevOps CD/CI Knowledge.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in Linux (Puppet, AWK, DASH, BASH, YAML, RHEL).
  • Advanced automation knowledge in CI/CD and source control using GIT.
  • In-depth understanding of Linux security and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of SSL and Proxy SSL.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and provide solutions following best practices.
  • Extensive experience administering IT systems and providing third-line support in medium/large environments.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Self-motivated and capable of organising tasks with some man-management and presentation skills experience.
