Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician / Workshop Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer based in Surrey

The successful Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician / Workshop Engineer will be responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment, predominantly technical plastic products and solutions.

Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician / Workshop Engineer will ideally have strong electrical skills in diagnosing and repairing complex systems, focusing on PLCs and motor controls in automated manufacturing, with adherence to safety standards. Full product training provided.

Package:
·       £32,000-£38,000 (dependent on experience)

Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician / Workshop Engineer Role:
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on injection moulding machines and related equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and prolong the life of machinery.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and upgrade of machinery, including automation and robotics systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacement, and preventive measures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
    Liaise with various engineering departments
     
Maintenance Engineer / Service Technician / Workshop Engineer Requirements:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and circuit diagrams to identify issues and implement repairs.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work with machine control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), particularly in diagnosing and rectifying issues with automated machinery.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc machinery systems and automation/robotics is a plus.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, preferably within the injection moulding industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery, including control systems, wiring, and components.
  • Workshop based near Mitcham, Surrey
