The School and Role

We are working with Secondary Schools in Essex who are seeking confident Maths Graduates to work as Unqualified Maths Teachers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on daily supply or in longer fixed term supply contracts.

As an Unqualified Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will specialise in Mathematics lessons, supporting students in the absence of the teacher. Unqualified Maths Teachers will be responsible for teaching students at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. Successful Unqualified Maths Teachers are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident and organised, they have a passion for education and supporting young people.

This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable it is not essential.

Requirements

The desired Unqualified Maths Teacher will:

-                Have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Maths or equivalent education.

-                Be a natural leader and someone with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher.

-                Be passionate about education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people.

-                Have an ambition of becoming a qualified Maths Teacher.
