Senior Transport Planner

What You'll Do With three years or more of experience, you'll be joining a growing team to assist in delivering exciting development planning projects across the country. Your tasks will include:

  • Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting traffic data from a range of external sources.
  • Appraising development sites in terms of their accessibility by various transport modes.
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments.
  • Producing high-quality reports, including Technical Notes, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters, and Travel Plan reports, either in part or in full.
  • Designing highway improvement schemes.
  • Managing your own projects and clients, with as much support and training as needed.

Qualities & Attributes You'll have a degree qualification in a relevant field and a genuine interest and enthusiasm for transport planning. Additionally, you should possess:

  • A thorough understanding of the principles of transport planning and a demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality input.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
  • The ability to manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Proficiency in using relevant industry-standard software packages.
  • An understanding of the application of highway design standards, guidance, and policy.
  • Strong technical ability.
  • A positive attitude.
