About the role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in challenging behaviours, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for students who face significant challenges in their educational journey. You’ll work closely with our skilled SENCO and a dedicated team of professionals to implement tailored strategies that help each child achieve their personal best. This role isn’t just about managing behaviour—it’s about understanding the root causes, building trust, and helping students develop the skills they need to thrive, both academically and socially.

Application Requirements:

• A genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.

• Previous experience in a similar role or a strong desire to develop your skills in this area.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

• A proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach to tackling challenges head-on.

• A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours, focusing on their individual needs.

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create and implement effective behaviour management plans.

• Use your creativity and patience to develop innovative approaches to support students’ emotional and academic growth.

• Maintain detailed records of students’ progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure each child’s success.
