A fantastic opportunity has presented to work in a 'Good' two-form entry school in Stalybridge, Tameside. This full -time KS2 role will be commence September 2024 with a salary which pays to scale based on your experience. Due to the school already taking on ECT's, unfortunately, the school are looking for an experienced teacher and warmly encourage those with a background in subject leadership to apply.

KS2 Teacher
As the KS2 teacher, you will be responsible for the progress and attainment of approximately 25 pupils within a two-form entry school. The children are mainly working at age related expectations, but you will be required to use adaptive teaching methods to both scaffold and stretch learning allowing every individual to fulfil their potential. You will benefit from both a planning year group partner and full-time teaching assistant who can support with interventions.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • -Building a positive rapport with all pupils based on mutual respect and encourage a sense of ownership and accountability of learning
  • Planning engaging lessons in line with National Curriculum standards for the class which are stimulating and cater for visual, audio and kinaesthetic learners
  • Using a range of assessment strategies to review, report and reflect on daily practice to inform future planning and improve educational outcomes.
  • Ensure activities are relevant, meaningful and prepare children to be global citizens of the future
  • Working well independently as an individual but team player and communicating effectively with the teaching assistant keeping them informed of activities and gaining regular feedback on progress
  • Immersing yourself in the wider school community and events such as parent meetings, schools fairs, curriculum evenings etc.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experience teacher to make an impact not only in the classroom but on a wider level when leading a subject. The school is led by an experienced Headteacher who prioritises staff wellbeing and places children at the forefront of school decisions.

-Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.

-Be able to provide two recent references which demonstrate excellence in the classroom, KS2 highly desirable
-Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained

-This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
-Have the legal right to work in the UK.
