Are you a highly motivated and determined Project Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client, a leading aerospace organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team in Wolverhampton, UK. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing technical projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.

Summary:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
  • Location: Wolverhampton
  • Pay Rate: £50.00 via Umbrella
  • Hours: 37 per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the engineering team and develop project plans and trackers
  • Ensure adherence to plan and allocated budget for specific programmes
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Track and progress Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and concessions
  • Review project plans to define engineering deliverables
  • Monitor projects, ensuring schedule, cost adherence, and engineering deliverables
  • Maintain financial and resource forecasts for projects
  • Support engineers and programme management with administrative and organisational tasks
  • Seek opportunities for collaboration, sharing resources, and promoting teamwork

Skills & Experience:

Technical skills:

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical understanding of design, stress, development, manufacturing, etc.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electric actuation systems
  • Familiarity with aerospace regulations

  • Leadership abilities and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and inspire others
