Hales Group are thrilled to be representing our client who are seeking a Crew Officer on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract.  As a key member of their Crewing Team, you will be responsible for assisting the Crew Planner and the Crew Training Administrator.
Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning and other relevant arrangements for the European Fleet  and smaller UK sites, under the guidance of the Crew Planner.
  • Support the Crew Planner with all aspects of crew scheduling and ensure vessels across the fleet are adequately manned.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Crew Planner, including creating and update site schedules, and distributing them to clients an crew.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Managers to arrange emergency cover in the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Prepare immigration documents for all crew member joining or leaving European sites.
  • Manage crew annual leave requests and organise necessary cover
  • Keeping track of the expiration dates for relevant mandatory crew certifications (such as ENG1 Medicals, passports, GMDSS GOC/ROC, and Master 200/500).
  •  Organising additional non-mandatory training courses, which includes finding training providers, scheduling shift cover, and managing logistics like travel and accommodation.
  •  Scheduling AED/CPR training sessions for new employees.
  •  Providing general administrative support, including maintaining online databases and systems, as well as filing.
To be considered for this role you must;
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills
