Job Summary:

We are recruiting for an experienced Data Warehouse Project Manager to join our clients transformative Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. This role is central to the success of one of the most significant digital and operational transformations currently underway across three acute hospitals. The selected candidate will be instrumental in revolutionising healthcare information storage and supporting better patient care through advanced data management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategy, development, and management of the MEDITECH data warehouse within the EPR team.
  • Manage and develop a team of SQL developers, providing training to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure accurate data integration across three acute hospital sites, meeting local needs and maintaining reporting continuity.
  • Establish a cross-trust data dictionary, data lineage, and full documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver timely, accurate solutions.
  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with overall programme goals.
  • Serve as the programme's expert in MEDITECH data warehouse, data architecture, and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Lead audits and quality assurance to ensure development aligns with best practices and statutory requirements.
  • Implement innovative solutions to data challenges, ensuring alignment with industry standards.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., master’s degree) or equivalent experience in Health Informatics.
  • Expert knowledge of data warehouse and reporting development frameworks.
  • Experience with Meditech Reporting suite and other clinical systems.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server Management Studio, data architecture, and data warehousing.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming languages, SQL Server Management Studio, and scripting languages.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with NHS contracting and payment systems.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and recruiting staff in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare (NHS) data standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Successful evidence of change management techniques and their application.
  • Expertise in project management, with a record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Experience in training staff on technical systems.
