Job Purpose

Lucy Group Ltd is a private company with interests in property and manufacturing. The property division has been in existence for over 50 years and is one of the largest private landlords in Oxford, providing homes for over 700 tenants in over 300 properties. The business owns, lets and manages its own housing stock.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable and bright individual to join our focussed and hard working maintenance team as an Apprentice Electrician. The successful candidate will assist and work closely with our in-house electrician. Showing aptitude and will to learn a variety of electrical maintenance work and electrical insulation across are property portfolio.

The candidate will have responsibility to undertake an 3.5 year apprenticeship to gain a qualification in EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in installing Electro Technical Systems and Equipment (Building, Structure and Environment), and will be fully supported by the company.

The role will report to the Maintenance Manager, and have daily support from the company Electrician.

Job Overview

To assist the company Electrician to learn the necessary skills and relevant practical experience required for the apprenticeship.

Key Accountabilities

Site (real estate portfolio) based role which consists of occupied dwellings and refurbishment projects. Background knowledge and interest in electrical work within residential property and building projects.

College attendance will be 1 day a week at Abingdon & Witney college/Bicester Construction Centre for the first 2 years, remaining 18 months will be NVQ in the workplace.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

GCSE grades A-C in English and Maths

Good education level of IT is beneficial
