Liverpool is looking for an experienced IRO / CP Chair to join their service. This is an Hybrid role offering a competitive hourly rate of £45 p/h. Now has never been a better time to join Liverpool !

Responsabilities:

• Chair child protection conferences, ensuring that meetings are conducted effectively and within statutory timeframes.

• Review and monitor child protection plans, ensuring that they are appropriate, effective, and focused on the child's best interests.

• Ensure that the views and voices of children, young people, and families are heard and considered during meetings and decision-making processes.

• Provide independent oversight and scrutiny of child protection cases, challenging and holding agencies accountable where necessary.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of conferences and decisions, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

• Work closely with social workers, managers, and other professionals to ensure that child protection plans are implemented and followed up appropriately.

• Identify and address any issues or concerns regarding the implementation of child protection plans, escalating matters when necessary.

• Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and best practices in child protection.

• Offer guidance and support to social workers and other professionals, helping them navigate complex cases and ensure the safety and well-being of children.

• Stay informed about current legislation, research, and best practices in child protection, applying this knowledge to enhance service delivery.

• Report any systemic issues or concerns to senior management, advocating for improvements in child protection services.
