TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a school based in the historic town of Rochester for a MFL Teacher – French specialism. The role is to start from September 2024 on a temporary basis.

The Role: 

As a MFL teacher (French), you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. You will play a key role in fostering a love for the French language and culture, developing students' linguistic skills, and preparing them for exams and beyond. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities. 

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. 

• Contribute to the development of the French curriculum and resources. 

• Engage with extracurricular activities, such as language clubs and trips. 

• Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and enriching learning environment. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in French. 

• A strong academic background and a deep understanding of the French language and culture. 

• Experience teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential). 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. 

• A commitment to professional development and a passion for education.
