Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the supportive and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide a high standard of support across a range of subjects, helping to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum. You will play a key role in ensuring that every child feels valued, confident, and motivated to learn.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and reading.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources as required.
  • Provide support during school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assist in assessing and recording pupils' progress.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of pupils at all times.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and pupils.


Candidate Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a preparatory or primary school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
