We are seeking an experienced Field-based Maintenance Engineer, covering the North West and parts of the Midlands region. This role is ideal for a client-focused individual with a proven track record in the Production /manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have the technical capability to fault find and diagnose production flow issues, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient filling process, and continuous improvement of filling line performance.

You will be the Technical Link between the plants and the client, advising on best practices to ensure the production process and operations are seamless.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical and quality issues in production processes.
  • Provide on-site technical support and solutions to clients and plants across the UK. Develop and implement effective strategies to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of issues and resolutions, and provide a detailed report to the client and management team on the root cause.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conducting monthly client review meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Dealing with customer quality complaints in relation to Product production issues, collaborating with the relevant departments to find a resolution.
  • Offer Technical advice and training to clients and Production staff as required.

KEY SKILLS

  • Experience in Technical /Engineering role within Manufacturing ( not essential)
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels and build excellent working relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Quality driven
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree / Apprenticeship ((or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to advise and consult clients on a technical level.
  • Manage time and workflow and create effective Technical plans
  • Ability to manage a territory and meet customer SLA’s
  • Report writing and a good working knowledge using MS Office
