Special Vehicle Quality Senior Engineer - £22.32 per hour, rising to £26.82 per hour – Inside IR35

Our automotive OEM Client based in Dagenham; London in the United Kingdom are searching for a Special Vehicle Quality Senior Engineer to join their innovative team.  This is a 4-month contract until 31st December 2024 with option of extension at end of year renewal. Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Client’s Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on the commercial vehicle product line-up. Based in Dagenham the position relies on a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction.

Skills Required

• Development, implementation, and management of vehicle operations quality processes whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
• Homologation and type approval for vehicles with added content.
• Facility installations and requirements to deliver the vehicle quality requirements whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
• Development of roadmaps for quality improvements implementing them and coaching the team through the change.

Experience Required

• Prototype/Manufacturing quality leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of vehicle homologation and type approval.
• Managing ISO 9001 in an automotive business.
• A high level of presentation and communication to senior execs.
• Special Vehicle quality leadership experience is desirable.
• Implementing ISO 9001 into an automotive business, is desirable.

Education Required

• Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in relevant subject, is desirable.
