Cloud Ops Engineer - Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid) - 40-50K

Lorien's client, a key player in the FinTech domain providing big names in the FS sector with innovative products and solutions (to reduce headaches and costs!), is looking to recruit the talents of a Cloud Ops Engineer with skills across Azure, ITSM offerings, Terraform and other relevant technologies (shown below) to join their currently growing and evolving Cloud function.

You can expect to:

• Take the reins as you maintain/deploy key infrastructure at the heart of key SaaS platforms for customers and internal users, ensuring that they align with performance, security, scalability and other requirements and expectations
• Work in a team of other Cloud specialists, as well as liaise with stakeholders, other departments, and external cloud partners (while strengthening these relationships and ensuring effective communications across the spectrum)
• Enjoy a varied workload in an expanding team, and being a trusted hands-on figure in the Cloud team; splitting your efforts between operational support, as well as improving automation/technical offerings around platform deployment/maintenance.
• Being hands-on with tooling/offerings such as Azure/DevOps, Terraform, ITSM offerings, and more.

What you'll bring to the table:

• Proven background with Azure & Azure DevOps
• Ideally as many of the following as you can: ITSM offerings, Terraform, Git, ITIL, AD/EntraID, SQL/AzureSQL, PowerShell/Bash, Linux
• Ability to pick up new tools and technologies as you work
• Adaptability and eagerness to work in a role with a varied workload and new challenges to tackle
• Ability to work as an effective part of a wider Cloud team and technical function
