Science Technician Required –  Stafford

September 2024

Pay rates between *£85-£120* per day depending on experience.

We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity to work within our partner Schools. A full-time placement has become available for an experienced and highly skilled Science Technician to work on a supply contract, on a long term basis.  

The desired candidate will have at least 12 months experience in the role of Science Technician. You will be expected to support the teaching and learning of pupils in the department by the preparation and maintenance of resources.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• At least 12 months experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in relation to a school setting
• Excellent knowledge of COSHH and ESCC regulations
• Ability to manage own workload
• Ability to work well as part of the team
• A Degree in a Science related subject is desirable

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safe storage of equipment
• Ensuring safe storage of chemicals
• Assisting with audit of stock
• Setting up experiments and practical demonstrations
• Carrying out appropriate risk assessments
• Liaising with teachers for lesson requirements
