Vertical Recruitment is working with a successful independent building services and sustainability consultancy with over 140 staff across 8 offices in the UK. They work on a diverse range of projects, including education, healthcare, and residential developments, and are currently involved in a significant £900m hospital project.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Warrington office.

Responsibilities include:

·        Conduct mechanical design and consultancy work, including systems design, production, specifications, and schedules; provide reports and advice to clients.

·        Coordinate and communicate with internal and external design team members; represent the business in meetings.

·        Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their interests are effectively addressed; lead and support consultants as needed.

·        Collaborate effectively with all relevant parties and manage project impacts.

·        Take responsibility for project management, including the training of junior staff and prioritizing tasks.

·        Review and ensure the accuracy of information and documentation produced by others.

·        Manage projects, including staff organization and ensuring delivery meets time and cost requirements.

·        Comply with quality systems, security procedures, and relevant ISO standards and legislation.

Education and Experience:

·        Preferably BEng (Hons) Degree in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

·        Chartered or working towards chartership with IMECHE/CIBSE.

·        Minimum engineering HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.

·        Competent in AutoCad and knowledge of Revit
