The role

As an experienced CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in machining processes and a passion for producing high-precision components. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components within specified tolerances.
  • Programming CNC machines using Siemens controls to ensure efficiency and precision.
  • Utilizing offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and optimize machining processes.
  • Performing routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Conducting first-off inspections and verifying the accuracy of machined parts using precision measurement tools.
  • Collaborating with the quality assurance team to ensure all components meet stringent quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions to enhance machining processes and efficiencies.

You

You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines using Siemens controls. Additional qualifications include:

  • Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloys.
  • Experience with offline programming, particularly using Alphacam, is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
