Abatec is assisting our client, a high-profile Civil Engineering contractor to recruit for an experienced Quality Engineer on a freelance basis. Our client is a leading Tier 1 contractor and is currently working on a once-in-a-lifetime, multi-billion-pound project in Devon.

Our client requires a Quality Engineer who has previously worked in Civil Engineering and has experience with ITP’s, NCR’s, MAR’s, and Life-Time Quality Records (LTQRs). 

As a Quality Engineer you will:

  • Ensure that all quality documentation is completed in accordance with work activity.
  • Manage Inspection Test Plans, Non-Conformance Reports, Material Approval Request etc.
  • Record KPI’s and performance data
  • Implement work inspection standards, utilising training and quality boards on site.

Our client requires a Quality Engineer with:

  • Experience working in a similar position for a Civil Engineering contractor
  • Experience with Life Time Quality Records (LTQRs)
  • Strong computer and IT skills
  • An understanding of construction drawings
  • CSCS, SMSTS

Degree or similar in Construction or Engineering

Salary/Benefits:

  • £500 - £550 PAYE
