Quality Assurance Assistant

The Quality Assurance Assistant reports to the Quality Manager (QM). The role is critical with our fresh produce client, requiring you to be able to work as part of a team, but also autonomously, with a methodical approach, and with attention to detail.
You will need a flexible, proactive attitude to work, being able to work quickly and accurately, sometimes under pressure and time constraints. With training and experience, you will be expected to cover the QM when they are travelling or otherwise out-of-office, so you will need to be confident in communicating within the business, with our service providers, and occasionally with growers and customers.
You will assist the QM in day-to-day product management, ensuring that fruit quality is correctly assessed on arrival and then monitored throughout storage, packing, and dispatch so that each customer’s quality requirements and expectations are met. You will also help the QM with administration, maintaining various databases, and preparing reports.
