A leader in the steel stockholding industry is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Band Saw Operative to join their team on a full time permanent basis. You will be responsible for operating gantry cranes, band saws and other machinery to cut steel to customer specifications.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting or as a sawyer is preferred
- Familiarity with steel processing and handling
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Key Responsibilities
- Operate saws and other machinery to cut steel to customer specifications
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to optimise processing operation
