Seeking two Buyers to assist my client's supply chain team in Yeovil on a Monday to Friday rolling contract basis.
This is a busy site with lots of manufacturing and repair work booked in and waiting…!

Role: Buyer
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Tenure: Full-time contract, 100% onsite
Hourly rate: £13.00 per hour PAYE, plus holiday pay in addition
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. 37 hours per week.

Main responsibilities of the Buyers:

• Raise and close Purchase Orders

• Own the end-to-end process of part / product processing ensuring on-time delivery
• Identify any potential quality issues and work with the company and their supplier to resolve
• Actively communicate with both internal and external Suppliers and Customers
• Liaise with internal Manufacturing Engineering teams for any defective products
• Monitor Supplier performance and undertake Supplier performance reviews
  

Ideal candidate profile:

• Previous experience in a similar role with an understanding of POs and buying within a commercial environment
• Working knowledge of SAP and IT literacy
• Ability to work with high workloads and continuously re-prioritise
• Good written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills and ability to liaise with all levels of internal and external Suppliers / Customers
• Ability to manage multiple activities and projects
• Analytical and Numerate
• Due to security vetting requirements for this site, candidates must be either a UK or NATO country passport holder
