We are currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Henlow that is seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team. The Role:

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire and challenge pupils, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and other key areas of the curriculum. You will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of your pupils, helping them to become confident, independent learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of pupils, using this information to inform future teaching.
  • Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse learning needs of pupils, including those with SEN and EAL.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1.
  • A thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the ability to deliver it effectively.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of every child.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the wider life of the school.
