About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Finance Assistant to join our fast-expanding studio. This is a fully office-based role and is a new role to the organisation. It is a great opportunity for a finance assistant with previous experience to increase their knowledge and take on more responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts payable
- Entering incoming invoices onto Sage, ensuring everything is recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Liaise with team members to ensure all incoming invoices are approved and can be matched to purchase orders
- Make payments to suppliers based on agreed payment schedule
Accounts receivable
- Raise invoices and submit to clients based on billing schedule
- Enter invoices in Sage, and ensure they’re paid in a timely manner (credit control)
Banking
- Entry of multi-currency bank transactions into Sage
- Processing bank payments, including payroll and expenses
- Bank reconciliation
Other duties:
- VAT Returns
- Liaise with new starters for payroll and pension scheme information
- Verifying staff expenses and entering details on Sage
- Assist the Head of Finance with compiling reports: Management Accounts, Project P&Ls, Year End Accounts
- Running timesheet reports from Rapport3
- Liaising with the external accountant as required
- Liaising with internal project managers on budgets, timesheets and client contract requirements
- Assist with adhoc tasks
About You
Education:
You will be educated to at least A-level standard with a strong written English and numeracy skills.
Ideally studying for AAT / finance qualification
Experience:
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant role
Experience of project accounting
Experience in a small company
Used to liaising with managers for information and decision-making
Skills and Competencies:
Excel Skills
Competent with full MS Office Suite
Clear communicator, both written and verbal
Able to explain financial matters to non-financial managers
Highly organised
Excellent attention to detail
Strong initiative, self starter
Able to manage multiple priorities concurrently
Knowledge of Sage and Rapport 3 an advantage
