Job Title: Shift Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (4 on 4 off)

Join a leading manufacturing site in Wolverhampton, where innovation meets excellence. The client have a high-performing team dedicated to delivering top-quality products and are now seeking a skilled and motivated Shift Engineer to maintain and optimize their operations.

Key Responsibilities- Shift Engineer

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues swiftly and efficiently.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure all machinery is in optimal condition.
• Collaborate with the production team to improve overall efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work is conducted in line with health and safety standards, minimizing risks on the shop floor.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any recurring issues to senior management.

Experience/Qualifications – Shift Engineer

• Proven experience as a Shift Engineer, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to diagnose and fix issues quickly.
• Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a continental shift pattern.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
