My client is a long-standing, family-run business who are well-known within the maritime industry and operates their services throughout Europe and the Thames. They are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer or Electrician with an industrial background to join their expanding team.

The Role - Electrical Engineer
- Install, and maintain 12 VDC and 24 VDC circuits as well as 110 VAC / 220
VAC single-phase and 440 VAC three-phase circuits
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, generators, alternators, and control systems
operating within 12 VDC and 24 VDC ranges that are running on 110 VAC, 220
VAC, and 440 VAC
- Perform detailed fault-finding and diagnostic tests on both AC and DC electrical
systems on the vessels
- Modify and repair electrical systems to address identified faults or to improve
system efficiency
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical systems to prevent potential
failures and ensure optimal performance
- Ensure all work complies with company safety protocols and industry regulations
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and modifications performed on
systems

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Electrician
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or Electrician, with a focus on both
AC and DC systems
- Experience in a manufacturing/factory environment with an industrial background. If
you have experience within the marine industry, that is a big plus
- NVQ, Apprenticeship or time-served Engineers are preferred
- Strong understanding of 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 110 VAC, 220 VAC, and 440 VAC
electrical circuits and systems
- Experience with motors, generators, alternators, and control systems in both AC
and DC environments
- Proficient in fault-finding
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
