Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager – Overview
We are working with an established M&E Contractor who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join and lead the commercial department, overseeing four Junior QS’ and working on fit out & refurbishment projects valued from £100K-£5million. The company have been operating for over 30 years, they have a headcount of over 40 people and have been extremely profitable over the past 5-10 years.
The company work on M&E projects nationwide, however this role will be mostly based from Head Office, with travel to sites around the country expected once per fortnight. You will be working as Senior QS on M&E projects valued from £100K-£5million at Healthcare Sites, Office & Warehouse fit outs, education sites and others. The company have four Junior QS’ which you will help to develop and progress within the business. Your role will include responsibilities for the projects for estimating, budgeting, identifying commercial risks, procurement, negotiating contracts and much more.
There are clear routes for progression available to you as well. Of the current Directors, several have moved up from similar positions within the company and they have a dedicated policy to promoting from within where they can. With this role requiring travel to the office and sites, the company will provide you with a company car or car allowance. There is also a generous bi-annual bonus policy which will hold significant financial reward for your position.
Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager – Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
- Experience working for an M&E Contractor (advantageous)
- Experience on projects from £100K - £5million
- Experience with Cypher software
Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager – Salary & Remuneration
- Salary £55,000 - £75,000
- Bi-annual bonus scheme
