Job Title: Packing Operative

Location: Ossett

Hours of Work – 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am

£11.44 per hour

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Packing Operative to join our client based in Ossett.  As a Packing Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient packaging of products and maintaining the high quality standards that our customers expect. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently pack products according to established guidelines and standards.
• Inspect products for defects or damages before packaging and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organised packing area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management and stock control.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance packing techniques and product knowledge.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a packing or production environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math skills for counting and recording product quantities.
• Stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
