Location: South West

Salary: £45,000 DOE and Qualifications + excellent benefits

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a CompEx Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out electrical maintenance and installations in explosive environments such as MOD fuelling stations and high security sites throughout the UK
  • Installation of power and data to fuel dispensing pumps, gauging, fuel monitoring and associated control panels.
  • Ability to design ATEX electrical installations
  • Cost projects including materials & time elements
  • Knowledge of procurement / suppliers of specialist MOD / Atex equipment.
  • Static discharge systems inspections
  • Lightning protection inspections
  • Explosive facilities CAT C&D RCD testing
  • Adhere to ATEX standards and procedures
  • Assistance in developing services to support its expanding service provision to varying industries
  • Creation of your own personal career development and training to suit and match service provisions within the decommissioning, fuels, tank maintenance and response industries

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Electrically qualified, Minimum of CompEx 1 to 4 
  • 18th Edition (2382- 18) City & Guilds
  • Inspection and Testing (2391) City & Guilds
  • Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (2396 or 2400)
  • Experience in the fuel industry is essential
  • Hazardous area inspections for IET Wiring regulations BS7671
  • CompEx 7 & 8, ATEX qualifications City & Guilds (Desirable)
