Job Description

Siemens Aero Derivative Gas Turbines (AGT) is recruiting a Digital Business Analyst to be based in Warwick, United Kingdom. An established world leader in this highly innovative field, our business has been providing solutions for global power generation and oil and gas customers for over 50 years. Onshore and offshore, our expertise and equipment provide an essential contribution to the world of energy, whether this be processing and transporting oil and gas through major pipeline networks or generating electricity with unsurpassed levels of efficiency and environmental cleanliness.

The position of the Digital Business Analyst will reside within the Digital Systems and Solutions Team withing Digital & Data Solutions organization, which drives the digitalization and data initiatives within the Siemens AGT business and leverages Big Data to help our customers, enables efficient business decisions and optimised performance.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to the team and business by:

  • Analyse and understand processes. Map and Document, As-Is Business Processes, and Develop To-Be Business Processes, based on requirements challenges and identifying and incorporating opportunities for improvement and optimization. Develop, designing and detailing new processes or undocumented processes.
  • Identify and elaborate user and business needs, documenting them as formal requirements with all the required details, and all required details and information. Translate and transfer user requirements into user stories, into required templates and Jira Board (or tool used). To enable effective design, development, testing of new digital solutions and services.
  • Help assess, map and track priorities, developing and tracking prioritized requirements Matrix.
  • Understand any process and policy constraints that need to be considered, assess the implications, and incorporate the required ones as business requirements
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of digital business requirements, including user stories, use/test cases, process flows, functional specifications, and manuals.
  • Identify areas for improvement, explore feasible options, help business analyse the potential impacts, benefits, and business values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining communication and collaboration with other teams and stakeholders to identify, monitor and resolve dependencies. Facilitating workshops and meetings to ensure traction on digital initiatives, drive value for the organization.
  • Contribute to the Digi community, by sharing knowledge and energy.

Required qualifications, experience and skillset

  • As a minimum: a bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field or related science disciplines.
  • 7+ years of experience as a business analyst or similar role, on digital/IT initiatives.
  • Experience with Agile & traditional methodologies and project management tools
  • Strong analytical/business skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficient in various digital technologies, tools, and platforms, such as web analytics, content management systems, and customer relationship management systems. Together with genuine in digital technology/trends and its impact on the society and business development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Including Proactive, well-organized, result-oriented, act independently, and take ownership of full process delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a solid background and experience of dealing with stakeholders and depicting/detailing with Business requirements.
  • Must be able to follow formal processes/ tools and templates and help build the bridge between business and technical teams .
