Position: Mechanical Inspector

Reporting to: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Flexible - Hybrid/Site Visits as Required
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Inspector to join our Housing Property Services team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and performance of mechanical installations across various projects, focusing on high standards and technical precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and inspect mechanical works conducted by contractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, legislation, and best practices.
• Maintain detailed site diaries, inspection records, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including residents and contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports and provide on-site quality assurance and audit inspections.
• Advise on engineering solutions, maintenance requirements, and inspection regimes, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
• Conduct surveys and inspections, report on engineering installations, and oversee remedial works where required.

About You:

• Higher National Certificate in Building Services or Engineering, or equivalent, with relevant experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations, communal heating systems, and refurbishment works.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage small projects within budget and timeframes.
• Knowledge of building services design, statutory regulations, and British Standards.
