Bench Worker

Location: Sittingbourne

Monday – Friday: 06:00 - 14:15 (holiday 23 days + bank holidays)

Salary: £27, 378 - £31,434 PA (£13.50 - £15.50) + Overtime x 1.5 (+ bonus + annual profit share)

Job Description

• Experienced Bench Operator/Fabricator early shift
• Operate and setup various types of drilling machines/Pem Machines
• Operate/Load Robot and Cobot welders
• Learn to operate CNC Laser cutting/Punchpress and Brakepress
• Interpret work orders and work instructions
• Carry out grinding and finishing activities
• Competitive hourly pay (including occasional O/T at 1.5x normal pay).

Responsibilities

• Perform quality drilling and grinding activities.
• To read and interpret engineering drawings and carry out fabrication tasks as required.
• Conduct quality checks on your own work and promptly raise any issues when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate clearly and effectively regarding work status.
• A collaborative team player mentality and a commitment to continuous improvement

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working in a metal fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in quality workmanship.
• Attention to detail and a collaborative team player mentality are essential.
