Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant

An inclusive and progressive nursery in the Borough of Southwark is seeking a Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to children in their first years of education.

As a Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to deliver material in Maths, Reading, Writing, Phonics and more, as well as assisting children with SEN/SEMH needs.

Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant Job Description

  • £105 - £110 per day
  • Full-time role (term-term only)
  • Monday - Friday (no weekends)
  • Located in Southwark
  • Long-Term, Full-Time role
  • September 2024 start

Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant Role

  • Providing support in the classroom as well as small groups
  • Working closely with children with additional educational needs
  • Assisting teaching staff to ensure a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for everyone

The Ideal Nursery 1:1 Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working within EYFS
  • A desire to kickstart their career in teaching, education, or childcare
  • A degree-level qualification and strong academics
  • Previous employment or experience with SEN/SEMH needs
