The Opportunity

Based onsite at Torr Works near Shepton Mallet, a Limestone Super Quarry one of the largest in Europe we are now looking to expand our team with a new Graduate Project Engineer. This is a brand new position at Aggregate Industries so you’ll have a real opportunity to develop the role and grow it in a way to benefit your career and our organisation.

As the Graduate Project Engineer you’ll be based onsite at our super quarry Torr Works. This is a really exciting period for our Torr Works site, as following a large investment onsite we look to further invest in our equipment, through projects such as modernisation and new conveyor systems. You’ll be supported by a Project Manager and will assist on the full life cycle of 10 to 15 projects at a time with varying values from £30,000 to £5,000,000 giving you a real variety in your day to day work.

Your primary responsibility will be for the planning and managing projects, ensuring they are carried out to agreed objectives – e.g. quality, time, cost, specifications, safety and environment, leading the project from definition phase, through feasibility, tendering and contracting, through to the realisation phase.

Who Are You?

This is a new position so it has a real opportunity for you to create your own path. So you’ll need to be career driven, by being able to bring ideas and ways of working that will help grow and develop your career.

You’ll have to manage multiple stakeholders across the site and wider business, so you’ll need to be an excellent communicator.

You’ll ideally have completed an Engineering Degree looking to embark on your project career. Or be an engineer looking to move into a more strategic focussed role.
