I am currently seeking an experience Senior Structural Engineer to join a successful, well-established civil and structural design practice based in Cardiff. You will get the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects across sectors and will work on projects from inception through to completion stage. If you are not yet Chartered, then you will be offered full support to progress to Chartership.

Experience and skills required for this Senior Structural Engineer role:

• Progression towards MIStructE/MICE Chartered membership
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English
• Hold a current UK driving licence
• Structural design experience in core materials; Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
• A high level of competence with AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous
• Modelling package experience with Tekla Tedds & Structural Designer, Masterseries would be advantageous
• Experience in conducting structural surveys and drafting reports
• Experience of processes, tools, and techniques for the design of structural assets
• Experience of refurbishment and change of use designs as well as new build projects
• Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required

The responsibilities of this Senior Structural Engineer role include:

• Reporting to the Company Director as required
• Conduct detailed design calculations
• Manage the delivery of design for a portfolio of projects and assets
• Co-ordinating the detailed design drawings and preparing specifications for tender and construction purposes
• Assisting with the delivery of high-quality solutions across a variety of sectors for clients and project stakeholders, timescales and budgets.
• Conduct structural surveys of buildings and structures and providing advice
