Systems Analyst, Project Delivery, Telford to £60,000

This is a great opportunity for a System Analyst to join a leading manufacturer in Telford. They are a market leader in their field and require a Systems Analyst to Lead technical architecture  for all IT systems within the business. You will be Responsible for delivery of the technical support function within the department via the service desk and for assigned IT projects. You will also be responsible for deputising for the Head of IT in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Support

• Management and delivery of the IT support service and staff within the department
• Aid in delivery of the IT support service to the business
• Support staff within the department where technical issues are escalated
• Progress escalated support issues from the support service through to resolution

System Analyst

• Maintain and upgrade existing technological systems for the organization. Involved in designing new computer systems and frameworks, providing troubleshooting for technical issues.
• Ensure system uptime, integrity, stability and security to all systems, including software versions remain current.  This includes all hardware, software and configuration components of network appliances, switches, wireless access points, servers, data cabling, telephones, mobile phones, CCTV systems, etc.
• Investigate and propose improvements to systems, software, infrastructure and processes. Identify any potential points of failure/risk and recommend solutions.
• Create/update system documentation for technical reference purposes.
• Accountable for backups and DR

Project Delivery

• Manage and execute all change requests and BAU functions of the department via the project delivery business demands recorded in the IT PoW (Programme of Work).
• Responsibilities include delivery of projects for Business Intelligence, Database reporting and data systems development and administration.

Competencies and Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with broad range of IT systems knowledge that can support 3rd line support responsibilities.
• Extensive experience owning and managing a network backbone/data/voice/Windows serving an environment of 100+ people.
