Health and Safety Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer on a 6 month fixed term contract for a busy organisation based in Stockport.
The main purpose of the role will be to be responsible for occupational health and industrial hygiene onsite ensuring the business in compliant with health and safety legislation and regulations. You will identify hazards and advise of risks as well as investigate any accidents. You will ensure staff have the correct PPE and ensure they have been appropriately trained.
The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate with experience advising a business on health and safety. You will also have knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 with experience implementing and monitoring health and safety processes and systems.
Past experience and knowledge in mechanical / electrical engineering, civil engineer, engineering, electricity at work Act, Gas Safety Regulations, CDM Construction Design and Management would be highly desirable.
Hours of Work: Mon-Thurs 8.30-5pm and Fri 830-4pm
