£45,000 - £47,000/annum Car Allowance or Company Car

Currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join a small housing developer in their expanding commercial team located in the Midlands area.

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be brought in to learn and develop your knowledge and skills within the Construction sector, the client has four active sites ranging in size from 22 to 181 plots.

Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor (not exhaustive) -

Fortnightly and monthly sub-contract payment certificates

Tendering enquiries, analysis and order placing

Pre-start meeting attendance, pre-tender or tender analysis meetings

Receipt, preparation of sales extra quotations and issues of subsequent orders

Preparation of house type build cost estimates, site development cost budgets and of quants and costs for new site feasibility studies

Preparation of new site construction cost budgets

Analysis, measurement, and pricing of site variation works

Measurement of works on site to check/price progress and agree payments

Recording of all payments on company computer system and files

Preparation of quarterly cost reports and value Vs Cost analysis

Control of ongoing site costs by careful cost maintenance, measurement and negotiation with contractors

The guidance and control of a Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Reviews of estimates and budgets as required to maintain up to date cost data base
