Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to be working with a rail manufacturer to recruit a Product Testing Technician to join their facility in Worksop.

The Product Testing Technician will evaluate new ideas and variants of products and test prototypes against customer specifications or published standards.

Other responsibilities of the Product Testing Technician will include:

  • Test prototype product assemblies to confirm and demonstrate the physical concept and capabilities of designs
  • Suggesting alterations to enable the product to be made effectively
  • Participate in Company-wide teams developing new products
  • Explore the performance of the product under test conditions, to improve its quality and efficiency
  • Plan field data collection exercises, collate data and carry out initial analysis
  • Demonstrate concepts to visitors and customers to enhance the understanding of the Company’s products and capabilities 
  • Play an active role in assessing the Company’s capability in carrying out laboratory and field testing and in developing techniques for conducting such tests.

We would be keen to speak with Product Testing Technicians with the following skills:

  • HNC degree in Engineering 
  • Apprenticeship trained 
  • Experience in testing mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of special test equipment, including servo-hydraulic facilities, transducers (e.g. strain gauges, accelerometers) and data logging equipment
