Job Description
The client is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead the function in the development of new packaging production machines. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young business as they launch their innovative paper bottle and other products worldwide

Key Activities:
* Principal electrical designer on project.
* Design of safety systems.
* Detailed design of electrical cabinets.
* Responsible for originating all electrical drawings.
* Responsible for originating all pneumatic drawings.
* Support the build of electrical cabinets.
* Actively participate in build and run up testing of machines.
* Support build and commissioning teams with electrical fault diagnosis.
* Assist controls engineer on commissioning activities.
* Responsible for electrical safety, electrical risk assessments and standards compliance.
* Origination of electrical BOMS.

Skills & Qualifications
* Electrical or mechatronic qualification, minimum foundation degree, HNC, HND or degree in an applicable discipline.
* SolidWorks electrical experience advantageous.
* Minimum 5 years experience in designing machine electrical systems from scratch.
* Understanding of UKCA / CE marking PUWER and machine certification.
* knowledge of different motor drive technologies such as servo, dc, Stepper and AC motors.
* IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification advantageous.
* PUWER accreditation / understanding advantageous.
* Good general computer skills
* Strong cause-effect analytical abilities.
* Excellent communication skills.

Working Hours & locations
9am-5pm however may be required to work additional hours on occasion.

Salary:
£45 to £55k subject to experience

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
