An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aviation Project Manager (Civils) to join a growing business unit focused on delivering projects and maintenance across several key frameworks and major schemes at various airports throughout the UK.
Business Unit Overview
This aviation-focused business unit is currently engaged in a variety of key frameworks and major projects, all at different stages of the project lifecycle, at multiple airports across the UK. As part of the planned growth within this sector, there is now a vacancy for a Senior Site Engineer to join the Aviation team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing site supervision functions assigned by the management team. This includes both short and long-term planning, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all construction operations, and guaranteeing compliance with both company and client procedures, standards, and requirements. You will play a proactive role in identifying and resolving technical issues promptly, ensuring smooth project delivery.
Role Overview
As the Project Manager, you will take charge of the daily management of various civil engineering projects in the aviation sector, specifically focusing on airside maintenance and project work at Leeds Bradford Airport. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring successful contract delivery by equipping the site team with the necessary resources and understanding to meet contract objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in all project stages, from pre-qualification and tendering through to project completion.
• Ensure the site team is fully aware of contract parameters and equipped with the necessary resources to achieve project goals.
• Execute the contract in line with all relevant legislation, contract terms and conditions, the Contract Health and Safety Plan, and the Contract Quality/Environmental Plan.
• Deliver the contract within the agreed programme and budget.
• Manage subcontractor resources to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Continuously monitor contract progress to ensure objectives are being met.
• Work with the Project Delivery Team to identify, agree upon, and effectively manage contract changes.
• Provide formal progress reports to the Framework Manager.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
