Are you seeking a new challenge? One where you are able to help support and deliver a programme of participation activities/sessions for young people aged between 16-24?

Working for a national provider of supported accommodation for people in need of safety and security this role will be to work with the management team to help provide a programme of activities for young people within the project, ensuring that sessions are dynamic, educational and practical.

The role:

  • Support and deliver the programme of activities for young people ensuring they provide an opportunity to develop their talents skills and knowledge whilst the young person is on their journey.
  • This may include sports/fitness, cooking, arts & crafts, money management, external trips, residentials away from service.
  • Deliver topics that may include diversity, equality and inclusion, hate crime, personal values & beliefs
  • Look for and review events for the young people to attend and engage with in the local community
  • Help raise the profile of the young people by establishing relationships with local community services

The ideal candidate:

  • You will ideally have a background in Youth Work or experience of working with and setting up learning programmes for young people
  • Have a creative flair and be able to engage with and encourage positive outcomes for young people
  • Be flexible in your work as this role will require an element of day support, evenings and some weekends
  • Be very organised and have excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Resilient and proactive, firm but fair.
  • Bring talents or experiences which may include writing skills, photography, Art etc
