4Recruitment Services are seeking a Business Support Officer for a Housing team based in Oxford.

You will join a small, committed team which is focused on delivering key priorities under the Council’s Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy to prevent homelessness and ending rough sleeping.

The purpose of the role:
  • To provide administrative support to enable the coordination and proactive management of access to supported accommodation under the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance
  • To support the team’s management and development of commissioned services, in particular in relation to supported accommodation.
  • Update databases and record keeping systems, aligned as necessary with other Council data and information systems, to ensure efficient coordination is in place for commissioned supported accommodation including in busy periods and periods of absence when these may be used and maintained by other team members.
  
The working hours Monday to Friday,  37 hours per week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Provide administrative support to enable the coordination of access, utilisation and moves through the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance supported accommodation. This will involve: managing and maintaining comprehensive records of clients requiring accommodation and clients ready to move on, assisting in the onward referral processes required for providers to meet their move-on targets as set in contracts.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure actions are completed following panel meetings to facilitate access into commissioned supported accommodation.
  • Support with the organisation of multi-agency case conferences and other events with relevant partners as needed to address issues within service provision.
  • Support the team’s management and development of commissioned services, in particular in relation to supported accommodation. This will include supporting with and attending a range of contract monitoring meetings with commissioned services, and researching best practice to help optimise performance.
  • Update databases and record keeping systems, aligned as necessary with other Council data and information systems, to ensure efficient coordination is in place for commissioned supported accommodation Oxford, including in busy periods and periods of absence when these may be used and maintained by other team members.
  • Provide data and analysis of referrals, acceptances and outcomes that will help inform future commissioning and needs analysis for Council strategies.
  • Effective sharing of information and working to ensure that other Rough Sleeping and Single Homelessness team members are able to monitor and manage administration of supported accommodation in the event of the post holders planned and unplanned absence.
  
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
  
  • Experience of working in the field of housing, homelessness or a related field.
  • Experience of working with a diverse customer base and a commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills and ability to effectively prioritise a complex and busy workload.
  • Demonstrate the ability to proactively build and maintain strong partnerships influencing outcomes and clearly articulating messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent IT skills especially Word and Excel and experience of updating and maintaining databases
  • Experience of case management, especially with a vulnerable/ complex client group.
