Search Consultancy are supporting a well established legal firm in Leeds to recruit a Legal Cashier. This is an exciting role if you have had exposure to finance before and are looking for a permanent position within an established finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for cashiering, which will involve banking and raising cheques, allocating and transmitting CHAPS payments and taking payment over the phone. You will investigate and resolve any balances on the ledgers and be responsible for bank reconciliations.

In order to be considered for this role you will:

  • Have good attention to detail, and be confident when dealing with customers over the phone
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines & work under pressure
  • Be a good team player, but also have the ability to work on own initiative
  • Have previous Accounts clerk experience is not essential but would be desirable
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to various financial systems

What's on offer?

Salary £22,300 + benefits. Based in Leeds City Centre and only 5 minutes from the train station.
