Principal Technical Support Analyst
Our client, a wholly owned subsidiary of a global energy company operator, is seeking a skilled Principal Technical Support Analyst to join their team in Basingstoke, UK.

Role Overview
As a Principal Technical Support Analyst, you'll play a vital role in our IT department, overseeing the Service Desk team and providing expert technical support.
Responsibilities
* Supervisory:
o Lead and coordinate the Service Desk team.
o Ensure efficient resolution of end-user issues.
o Analyze Service Desk trends and identify improvement opportunities.
o Serve as the escalation point for critical issues.
o Collaborate with internal and external IT teams.
o Supervise audiovisual equipment and provide training.
o Contribute to process development and implementation.
* Technical:
o Provide 1st and 2nd line support to users.
o Build and deploy IT equipment.
o Troubleshoot and repair hardware.
o Ensure compliance with IT security standards.
o Assist users with training and documentation.
o Support IT asset management.
o Contribute to ICT publicity.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a Service Desk environment.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, IT hardware, software, networks, and emerging technologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
* A business-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction.
* Demonstrable experience as a Technical Support Analyst or similar role.
