Powertrain Mechanical Development – DCT Driveline
Location - Warwickshire
Job Role:
As our next Powertrain Mechanical Development – DCT Driveline lead, you’ll be instrumental in problem solving and data analysis. Your remit will be to deliver Transmissions & Driveline development and validation testing in accordance with component & vehicle development plans. You will robustly prove out product attribute targets, support vehicle programme timing, cost and quality across all projects.
To excel in this role, you'll need to have a keen eye for detail and be an open and honest communicator. Working with a team of engineers, you’ll be defining component and system targets with the design team. Your role is to create and maintain test procedures, own component, system and vehicle DVP, plan and execute mechanical development/performance development testing, you will also lead problem-solving investigations that occur during the development programme.
In this role, you will collaborate with the design and simulation team, vehicle testing, and vehicle programme team. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on with our first mid-engine sports car by identifying an issue, discovering a resolution and then testing the vehicle.
Key Requirements:
- Physical hands on experience with other DCT or transmission types
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience of driving optimization through analysis
- Managed concern resolution experience
- Experience with INCA, MDA, AVL CONCERTO & MATLAB
