Our Emerging Talent Programme supports young people aged 19-29 across the West Midlands to prepare for and gain apprenticeships, leading to sustained employment in their chosen career.

The role:

This program is designed to help participants prepare for and secure apprenticeships, leading to sustained employment in their chosen careers. Your expertise in careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG), combined with a deep understanding of the job market, will empower our learners to set and achieve their career aspirations.

As part of our dynamic team, you are expected to hit the ground running and demonstrate the ability to work swiftly and efficiently in a fast-paced, agile environment. Key responsibilities:

Support Recruitment Events

  • Actively participate in and support recruitment events, playing a crucial role in attracting and converting prospective learners onto our programs.

Facilitating Onboarding

  • Manage the full onboarding process, including eligibility screening, initial assessments, and enrolment, to ensure a smooth transition for all learners.

Initial Assessment & Careers Conversation

  • Facilitate the onboarding process by conducting initial assessments and careers conversations, ensuring that learners are matched with the right programs and opportunities.

Attendance & Absence Monitoring

  • Diligently monitor learner attendance, following up on unauthorised absences, and providing necessary support to encourage consistent engagement.

1:1 Learner Meetings

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with learners, providing personalised support to address their individual needs and challenges.

Wellbeing Support

  • Offer wellbeing support and advice, ensuring that learners have access to the resources and guidance needed to succeed both personally and academically.

Job Club Support

  • Assist in the operation of the job club, offering valuable support to learners as they prepare for employment.

Appointments Coordination

  • Arrange and coordinate appointments for learners with employers and the Employment Progression Coach, ensuring that learners have access to career development opportunities.

Additional Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Understanding of funding streams such as WMCA, Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, and Advanced Learner Loans.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of handling sensitive issues diplomatically and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies to attract new learners and drive program enrolment.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with a flexible approach.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.
  • Ability to network and build connections with potential referral partners
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with relevant digital tools and platforms.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly across Walsall, Birmingham, Coventry, and the wider West Midlands.

These skills and attributes will contribute to the successful fulfilment of the Quality and Performance Coach role, ensuring high standards of learning and Tutor performance in the beauty sector.
